Outstanding Dissertation Award

Call for Submissions: Outstanding Dissertation Award

The International Conference on “Reimagining Innovation and Value Pathways in Service Ecosystems” (29–31 January 2027, Delhi, India) invites submissions for an Outstanding Dissertation Award, supported by a generous sponsor. The award carries a cash prize of ₹25,000 and seeks to recognize exceptional doctoral research that makes a significant contribution to management scholarship and practice.

The award is intended to encourage emerging scholars whose doctoral work advances understanding of organizations, service ecosystems (such as hospitality & tourism), and contemporary management challenges. Doctoral candidates and recent graduates whose dissertations align with the conference themes—including service management, strategy, organizational behavior, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and the future of work—are warmly invited to apply.

To facilitate the review process, applicants are requested to submit an extended abstract in place of the full dissertation. The extended abstract should be approximately 2500 to 3000 words and must clearly present the central research question, the theoretical framework, the research design and methodology, the key findings, and the dissertation’s primary theoretical and practical contributions. Authors should also indicate the current status of the dissertation (completed, submitted, or near completion), with a letter from the college confirming this, and also provide brief details about their doctoral institution and supervisory team.

Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished scholars associated with the conference. The selection process will focus on originality, conceptual and theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of argument, and relevance to contemporary debates in management and service ecosystem research.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to present their work during a dedicated conference session, providing an opportunity to receive feedback from senior scholars and engage with an international community of researchers and practitioners. The recipient of the Outstanding Dissertation Award will be announced during the conference and will receive a certificate and a ₹25,000 prize, sponsored by Lexterrae.
